Democracy, Freedom, Choice and the Future of Representative Democracy!

Democracy, Freedom, Choice, Opportunity,  the continued Opportunity to Govern ourselves and the future prosperity of our country this is what the European Parliament elections in May and the General Election in 2015 are actually about.

Without question the two most important elections in the past 100 years that could decide the very existence real representative democracy!

democracySo what do we mean by ‘could decide the very existence real representative democracy, well, if in the European Parliament Elections we vote for either Labour or the Lib Dem’s each vote will be seen as a vote in support of the European Union (EU) because both these parties want to see the UK move ever deeper into what will be a European Super State of which the UK will just be a region, elections will be by Proportional Representation (PR), your vote will count for nothing and neither of these parties will let you have a vote on this massive transfer of power to the EU.

Democracy will be dead, in fact Peter Mandelson has stated recently in a speech that the electorate must not be trusted with a full vote on EU membership, they are all terrified the vote will be to leave the EU because that will kill their dream of permanent power without accountability.

If you genuinely don’t like the EU and would like to see the UK withdraw completely or just remain a member of the Single Market then when you vote in the European Parliamentary Elections you must vote for UKIP, any other vote would be a wasted vote but a vote for UKIP will galvanise Conservative support for withdrawal if that be the result of the referendum, remember neither the Lib Dem’s or Labour will let you have a referendum on our membership of the EU or take part in any renegotiation, for the Lib Dem’s and Labour true democracy is uncomfortable.

Just like a change in voting systems membership of the EU is a fundamental change in our democracy and democratic process which must be approved by the electorate and the only way you can ensure that happens is to vote UKIP at the European Parliamentary Elections and Conservative at the 2015 general election.

But when it comes to the general election in 2015, although a lot of voters may be tempted to vote UKIP again a vote for UKIP will only let in either Labour or a Lab Lib Dem coalition and you will get PR meaning your vote will count for little and give Labour and the Lib Dem’s permanent power because PR guarantees coalitions and on top of that the voting system is already slanted towards Labour, what you won’t get is a free vote/referendum on the UK membership of the EU!

So when it comes to the 2015 general election any vote other than for the Conservative Party will be a wasted vote and a vote against democracy, a vote against something 80% of the British public support and that is a say on whether or not we should remain members of the EU.

People will tell you that we elect a government to govern the country and once elected we should let them get on with it and that a referendum only shows a snapshot of public opinion at a particular time and yesdemocracy governments have to make unpopular decisions from time to time but membership of the EU is a fundamental decision about how our country is governed which will have an impact hundreds of years ahead and public opposition has been growing ever since we were initially lied to and conned into membership.

Just like a change in voting systems membership of the EU is a fundamental change in our democracy and democratic process which must be approved by the electorate and the only way you can ensure that happens is to vote UKIP at the European Parliamentary Elections and Conservative at the 2015 general election.
