Labour Party Conference – Labour the party of Illusion!

Labour, without question the party of Smoke and Mirrors which is defying gravity in the polls beyond belief but they are there, ahead in the polls and all the commentators seem to think that is where they should be!

The first speeches of the Labour Party Annual Conference certainly look like a return to the old far left Marxist policies and beliefs of the Michael Foot era.

You know, it is difficult to grasp that the Labour Party are actually ahead in the opinion polls particularly when you look at what happened to the Conservative Party after they lost the 1997 general election!

The Conservative Party left behind an oversubscribed Pension system which was the envy of the whole of Europe if not the world, an Economy described by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as the Golden Economy of the World, Unemployment was falling dramatically, the National Debt was being tackled and Public Finances were under control yet because the Labour Party had portrayed them as the Nasty Party after the ERM debacle, supported by all parties I should mention, and one or two discretions of the marital kind the nasty tag was to stick and the Conservative Party went into Purdah and sack cloth for 10 years, frightened of their own identity.

Hopefully the Labour and Lib Dem conferences will alert the public to just how dangerous Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg and their respective parties are, both are the biggest threats to democracy this country has seen for decades.

It took 13 years for the Conservative Party to get back into power but the Labour Party by contrast, who lost the 2010 general election, had destroyed the pension system through massive taxation to make it the basket case of Europe, tripled the cost of government by introducing devolution in Scotland and Wales, increased the cost of the public sector many times over and wasted £billions on the NHS causing a lot of our current financial problems within the NHS by negotiating unsustainable PFI contracts, miserably failed out education system where now we are rated 20th in the world Math’s league, virtually bankrupt the country by a massive waste of public resources and by removing practically all regulation from our banks causing the near collapse of the banking system, took us to 5 wars of which at least 1 was illegal, politicised both the police and the civil service and introduced the really nasty politics we have today are ahead in the polls and have been for 3 years!

It took labour less than a year to recover and move ahead in the polls and they did it simply by ignoring their almost total failure, blaming the financial crisis entirely on the banking system and lauding all their massive failures as total successes on the basis that if they tell the public often enough the public will start to believe them!

Ed Miliband, at this Labour Conference, has promised to return this country to old style Marxist left-wing socialism with a threat to control the energy markets without even trying to understand them, Miliband has threatened to grab all land which is not built on to his time scale, introduce a mansion tax and attack the income and pensions of out wealthiest forgetting that they are the very people who will create the future wealth of this country.

Hopefully the Labour and Lib Dem conferences will alert the public to just how dangerous Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg and their respective parties are, both are the biggest threats to democracy this country has seen for decades.
